The French-Swiss Portes du Soleil ski area is the world’s largest cross-border domain! It includes 12 resorts with a total of 600km of ski runs.
For this 2023-2024 winter season, the domain opens from 23rd December to 21st April!
12 resorts are connected between France and Switzerland, just an hour from Geneva: Abondance, Avoriaz, Châtel, La Chapelle d’Abondance, Les Gets, Montriond, Morzine-Avoriaz, St Jean d’Aulps, Champéry, Morgins, Torgon, Val-d’Illiez – Les Crosets – Champoussin.
The Portes du Soleil domain is a real natural powder paradise in the heart of the Alps where you ski in an unspoilt environment. The ski lifts are well-hidden in wooded areas, the ski runs slalom through the fields and forests, gliding past hundred-year-old traditional mountain chalets.
This ski domain also enjoys exceptional snowfall from mid-November to the end of April, with an average of 7.83 metres of accumulated snow per year.
As well as Alpine skiing, there are many other winter activities available here: special slopes reserved for new types of winter riding, ski touring, Nordic skiing and snowshoeing, dog sledding excursions, and more. You won’t have time to get bored! ! On the slopes, you can start the day in France and end it in Switzerland, and vice-versa!
