The Mont Chauffé forms a long spine that extends in a straight line for almost 3 kilometres. In several sectors and on limestone rock, there are 168 routes ranging from 4b to 8a and from 20 to 450 metres. The south face is the most accessible.

The Mont Chauffé has several sectors:
South face on the Abondance side: Piliers, Faille, Plagne du Mont, Raille, Ferraillon, Traversée.
These sectors present, on a limestone rock, interesting and practicable routes of one or more lengths distributed on several cliffs of difficulties 4 b to 8 a; 168 routes from 20 to 450 meters. Access on foot can be made from the le Sauvage car park or the Côtes au Mont car park, the first routes are accessible in about 15 minutes’ walk. The Piliers and Plagne du Mont sectors are well suited to children.

The traverse of the ridges of Mont Chauffé is easy from 3a to 3b but long and reserved for experienced climbers.
