The Mont Chauffé forms a long spine that extends in a straight line for almost 3 kilometres. In several sectors and on limestone rock, there are 168 routes ranging from 4b to 8a and from 20 to 450 metres. The south face is the most accessible.

    Mont Chauffé comprises several sectors:
South face on the Abondance side: Piliers, Faille, Plagne du Mont, Raille, Ferraillon, Traversée.
On limestone rock, these sectors offer interesting and practicable routes of one or more lengths, spread over several cliffs of difficulty 4 b to 8 a; 168 routes from 20 to 450 meters. Access on foot is via the le Sauvage parking lot or the les Côtes au Mont parking lot, and the first routes are about a 15-minute walk away. The Piliers and Plagne du Mont sectors are ideal for children.
North face, Ubine side: an impressive, perfectly vertical wall 400 metres high. The few routes on it are old, austere and unequipped.
The traverse of the Mont Chauffé ridges is easy from 3a to 3b, but long and reserved for experienced climbers.
Secteur Cercle: large-scale cliff with high-level routes. Recommended for experts.

    Helmets are recommended.
