This year, the Savoie Cheese Road celebrates its 20th anniversary! As a partner site, the Maison du Fromage Abondance is offering a wide range of events based around the 8 PDO-IGP cheeses of Savoie during the European Heritage Days.
Set off on a 9-stage sensory discovery tour of landscapes, gestures and techniques. Abondance cheese will hold no secrets for you.

FROM ALPAGE TO TABLE: Learn about the special characteristics of Abondance cheese and engage your senses with this fun tour for all the family.
WANTED : 8 cheeses have escaped … it’s up to you to find them using your smartphone or tablet. It’s easy: download the Pégase LAB application from Apple Store or Google Play; “add a game” and enter the code 1583rfm.
JULIETTE’S WHEELBARROW (3-6 years): Through an illustrated story, explore the daily life of Juliette, a young farmer from Abondance. This self-guided experience uses a wheelbarrow containing all the necessary equipment to immerse you in life on the farm.

POETIC TASTING: Take the time to taste a piece of Abondance cheese and appreciate its flavours and aromas, with your eyes closed, as you listen to the voice of a storyteller.

MILK BAR ACTIVITIES: During your visit, a mediator will offer you a flash workshop to find out more about this product that is at the origin of our cheeses. Discussions, mini-games and tastings are all on the programme.

The Maison du Fromage Abondance is located in the heart of the Abondance valley:
5 minutes from the centre of the village, itinerary "Tour du village" or "Bords de Dranse".
On the right as you enter the village from Thonon-les-Bains.
