The Chablais Massif, a geological gem

The Chablais Massif is a pre-Alpine mountain range shared between France and Switzerland. It spreads from the north of the Southern shores of Lake Geneva, which is known as the Bas-Chablais (Lower Chablais) and is separated into several high-altitude valleys: the Green Valley, Brevon Valley, Aulps Valley and of course our magnificent Abondance Valley to form the Haut-Chablais (Upper-Chablais).

Between the Bas-Chablais and Haut-Chablais, the Pays de Gavot unites them. Here we also find many of the Pays d’Evian-Vallée d’Abondance municipalities, such as Bernex and Thollon-les-mémises, which are both village-resorts!

The Chablais Massif covers the entire northern part of Haute-Savoie to the west. To the east it stretches into Switzerland as far as the Vaud Canton via Valais, glorified by the Dents du Midi mountain range.
